I had high hopes from last week’s episode but I’m afraid to say that this week’s epis0de, I thought was one of the worst so far. It was good to see Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe from 24) feature, but her part was not well worked into the episode. There was only really one good song called Demon Woman.

We start with an opening scene containing a hectic New Zealand embassy. Bret and Jemaine attend a meeting with Murray who is rushing because he’s been appointed as the prime minster of New Zealand’s aide for his visit to America. He’s trying to set up a meeting with the President, but has lined up a gig for the guys performing as a Simon and Garfunkel tribute band. Bret and Jemaine are not happy about this but need the money.

Next scene brings us to the tribute act with a familiar face watching the band. Its Chloe from 24, looks much better in this than 24… Anyway she takes a liking to Jemaine and comes over to ask him out, he accepts.

The prime minster turns up to Murray’s office and is sleeping when Bret and Jemaine turn up. Bret gets signed up to be the prime ministers body guard and Murray is still trying to arrange a meeting with the president. Jemaine then goes off for his date but ‘Chloe’ is not happy with the way he looks as he’s not dressed up as Garfunkel. Mel warns him that she’s a psycho but he ignores her and goes and gets changed. He then goes to ‘Chloe’s’ apartment and it takes a while for her to get the right angle, this is when the ‘Demon woman’ song starts.

The next memorable part of this episode was when the prime mister was in Dave’s shop and was fascinated that ‘The Matrix’ was available because it had only just been released in New Zealand. Dave and the prime minster exchange their belief that the Matrix is real and déjà vu is a sign. Jemaine talks to Mel about how his new girlfriend is using him, Mel says she is crazy. Next Bret, Murray and the prime minster visit the white house but Murray still hasn’t arranged a meeting with the prime minster so it’s just a guided tour. The prime minister has a meeting and says he disappointed with Murray but then forgives him.

Jemaine goes to see ‘Chloe’ again but after he arrives the real Garfunkel arrives (fair play, good sport) and Jemaine is left alone after they get back together. On his walk back he sees Mel in her car making out with someone who looks like Bret, it turns out to be Doug dressed up which shows Mel was crazy too.

Murray has organized a fondue evening and invites a lot of lookalike singers and even the President (quite a good lookalike). The prime minister sees a small Elton John walk past him and then a couple of seconds later another, he believes this is a glitch in the matrix and goes to run off the top of the building. The episode ends with Jemaine arriving at the flat and walking in on Bret practicing for his Simon solo act.

So Uncle Pete is alive but in hospital and being pounded by the FBI who leave a recording device in his room, this will come in handy later on. Frobisher goes all weird and suggests creating a health farm on the plot he was shot in, Frobisher leads us to believe he doesn’t know who shot him.  We find out more about Uncle Pete and how he was nice to Patty when she was growing up as her dad was a bum head. Phil learns about UNR’s influx of capital which he later tells Patty about but he still invests in it.

Tom talks to the hooker about Finn and later on she meets with him again after she is threatened by Finn when she is ‘working’, you had to love the line “ok know you can take my clothes off”. Mr. Beardy visits Frobisher and threatens him and his guru, leading Frobisher back to his wicked ways.  He drops his law suit but he’s not needed anymore. Patty visits Pete in the hospital and says he should tell the FBI about her, Ellen doesn’t believe this.  After this Patrick goes to visit Pete, at which point Ellen and the FBI become interested as he starts talking about the job he did for Patty, Ellen goes to see who this person is (not knowing it’s the person who tried to kill her) but misses him, at this point Uncle Pete goes into a cardiac arrest and dies due to Patrick injecting a poison into his drip.

We see Patty outside looking at a young girl imagining it was her when there is a phone call, we are led to believe Patty is talking to Patrick about a job well done but it turns out to be Ellen, giving the bad news.

We end on Pete’s wife opening a box full of Pete’s possessions which has evidence about the attack on Ellen. She gives Ellen the folder containing the evidence. We fast forward and see that the mystery person in Ellen’s apartment is Patty who is terrified as Ellen points the gun at her. Ellen says do you really think I would use this and puts the gun down. The screen goes black and we hear two gun shots…what happened?

We started with an opening scene which forced us to be confronted by a whole host of new characters. First thing to note was we met Locke again, loved the camera work. It’s now time for the lost writers to try and piece some things together from previous episodes.

We find out that Locke was met by Charles Widmore who told his story about being banished from the island by Ben, should Locke believe him. Once Locke is in a fit state to travel he is assigned a driver who Locke recognizes from his past as he was the man who led him to boarding Oceanic flight 815.

Locke meets with Sayid who couldn’t care less about Locke predicament. John then seeks of Walt (bloody hell he’s grown up, making me feel old) who says he’s been having dreams about Locke in a suit being attacked, Ben sees Locke talking to him. He then visits Kate who again refuses to go back to the island giving a reason for John to mention his only love Helen. This brings us nicely to Locke insisting his drive take him to her, he take Locke to the cemetery where we are supposed to believe is dead, my lost senses are tingling, I expect her to be very much alive but Widmore knows this would stop him going back to the island. Locke’s driver is then shot and he drives away and crashes at an intersection. Obviously we find him being treated at Jack’s hospital who doesn’t want to hear about John’s stories, especially when it came with saying his dad was alive, very good acting here.

Ok now Locke is really down and goes to hang himself which we have been led to believe is how he died, the suicide note was written and a very sturdy looking noose made. All is in place when Ben comes in and stops him, Ben needs a bit more information out of Locke. Locke tells him everything and then Ben strangles him to death, Ben cleans the room and leaves.

At this point we are back at the island with John asking to talk to their leader Caesar, ‘someone shout irony’. Anyway John asks to view the planes log book but is told it was taken by pilot and a girl, hmm I wonder who they are? We end the show by Caesar showing Locke the wounded passengers, shock horror one of them is Ben and Locke ends the episode with a classic one liner after being asked if he knows the man, “Yes, that’s the man who killed me.”

5pm -6pm

OK here is a quick summary of todays episode. Main starting point was the meeting of Dubaku and Marika, after he found out she was working with the FBI. We find out that Sean and Erika are working together and Jack and Agent Walker get released from custody, the chase is on. Jack screams around the bends, until being blocked off by a taxi. Marika having made out she still wants to be with Dubaku then turns on him and puts her hands over Dubaku’s drivers eyes, causing the car to crash. Had to laugh at the massive 4×4 which flipped so easily. Jack pulls Dubaku out while Agent Walker attempts to pull Markia out of the burning car wreckage. Jack tries to pull her away and Walker pulls her gun on him, he then helps her get Marika out buts its too late she is dead. Jack gets the paramedics to cut into Dubaku’s skin to find a memory card.

Jack could have driven the card back safely but he decides to give it to a FBI helicopter pilot. At this point Erika panics and Sean talks to her and says he has a plan to erase all the data in the servers once the memory stick is being decoded. The memory stick arrives and Chloe says that the device can only be read once. Agent Walker has an argument with Jack and says she was willing to use the gun against him.

Sean and Erika initialize the formating of the memory card, the alarms go off and the  memory card seems to be erased.

Sean kills Erika and claims he tried to stop her and gives Moss evidence which suggests she was behind everything, but wait a minute the data has been read as Chloe is a genius and ran the decryption on a off site server. This leads to the arrest of Sean.

Jack meets up with Tony who says there will be another attack and says Burnett is the man behind it, saying the attack will happen at 7pm at an important target. Bill, before this tells President Taylor that Jack should get a reduced sentence for his efforts, will Jacks teaming up with Tony affect this.

The episode ends with senator Mayer being told to go to the White house to talk to Taylor and asks Burnett to come with him, he looks at his phone with a message confirming all explosives are in place. Burnett looks very worried which suggests the target for the terroist attack is the White House!!

I turned off all the Java pluggins and I could access the site without installing the software. After gaining access you can turn Java back on. This was the case in Firefox. The way to do it is tools-options-content and then untick Java & Java script. I then researched this and found that people did not have this problem with Safari or Google Chrome as it uses a different engine.

Right well one good thing that came from today was Flight of the Conchords S02E06 “Same Girl” (please bare in mind I watch all episodes the day after being released in America). Yet another funny episode carrying on from the great episode last week. Really thought at the beginning of the season that it looked like FOTC has ran out of good material. You have to love the randomness of FOTC as who else could write a episode with songs containing subject matter such as epileptic dogs.

The first song was well done but felt it dragged on a bit, Also I’m sure “same girl” said her name was Barbra not Brahbrah at the start, anyway it was nice to see Kristen Wigg again after her performance in Ghost town but she did seem to be acting the same type of character, comment on this if you think I’m incorrect.

Major spoiler alert!!!!!!!

Anyway here’s my super short summary of this episode. Bret and Jemaine meet a girl name Barbra while jogging as she has lost her dog. They both immediately fall in love with her and start trying to win her over. They find out that her dog has epilepsy and set out to gain her heart (that sounds soppy) with this information in mind. So of course they write a song about it and have a fight. Bret then arranges a charity event for epileptic dogs and in turn play a retro song with flashing light which makes all the epileptic dogs have a fit. Just before this though Barbra takes a dog and claims it to be hers until the owner asks for it back. She then admits its not hers. After the charity gig had been abruptly ended Murray tells “same girl” to choose between Bret and Jemaine, she then says I thought they were a couple and as Jemaine says what gave you that impression Mel comes out with photos of Bret and Jemaine’s love child. She chooses Bret and walks off with him when it is revealed that her dog has been missing for 6 years lol.

I’d like to start this blog with what content I will be covering. I have found from day to day that I need to download new software and fix problems with my PC. This is why the majority of posts will be related to personal experience.  I’ll tend to post about fixes to problems which are not easily found with a Google search.

The second topic of this blog will be TV. I’ll be commenting on new episodes and news that I learn about the following TV shows: Lost, 24, Prison Break, Heroes, Damages, Family Guy, American Dad, Worst Week, Flight of the Conchords, Pushing Daisies and Desperate housewives.
